Women you are not allowed to marry from

Women you are not allowed to marry from

There are twenty four types of women, one is not allowed to marry from. They can be categorised in five:
1.       Those who are prohibited because of family line. In numbers they are seven, such as: mothers, daughters, sisters, paternal and maternal aunts, nieces (brother’s daughter or sister’s daughters).
2.       Those prohibited by suckling. They are the above seven who are related to you by suckling.
3.       Those prohibited because of marriage such as a father’s wife (step-mother), daughter in law (your own son’s wife), mother in law, and the daughter of your wife (from her previous marriage).
4.       The one who has been divorced three times by her husband (the same husband can marry her if she happens to marry another man who divorced her as well).
The woman who was separated through li’an, i.e. the man accused her of adultery but he had no four witnesses to prove his claim. But he is allowed to swear four times that he has spoken truly. He has to add a fifth time that may the curse of Allah be upon him if he has spoken a lie. In answer to his accusation, the woman can save herself by swearing four times that he has spoken a lie. She has to add a fifth time that may the curse of Allah be upon her if he has spoken the truth. Once the process is done in front of a Qazi, they are separated forever.
5.       Those who are prohibited temporarily such as a sister-in-law, her maternal or paternal aunt. (It means that you cannot combine two of them in the same wedlock). And any married woman (who is not yet divorced).

Some more pearls of wisdom

·         The cure of the heart lies in five things:
1.       To read the Qur’an with profound understanding.
2.       An empty stomach.
3.       Praying at night.
4.       To ask Allah at the time of dawn with lots of humbleness and humility.
5.       To accompany pious people.

·         Don’t be a friend of Allah in the open but his enemy in secret and don’t be an enemy of Satan and your own lust and desires in the open but an intimate friend of them in secret.
Don’t be of two faces and two tongues; so that you appear to the people as if you fear Allah a lot, just to attract the praise from the people whil
